Caryn Kelley is accused of killing her boyfriend, Phillip Peatross on July 27, 2011 in her College Park, Florida home. Peatross died from a single gunshot wound to his face. But what exactly happened that night is unclear.
Here is what we know: Caryn Kelley placed a frantic call to 911 at 4:49 AM on the morning of July 27. Police arrived at the scene and found Peatross dead on the floor of the bedroom. The gun used in the killing was near the victim’s body on the floor. There was blood on both Petross and Kelley. There was a pool of blood on the bed and blood spatter on the nightstand. The wound on Peatross’ body was consistent with those of a close range gunshot.
